Children and Youth


  • AUMC offers nursery options for all children 2 and under. There is a lesson, games, crafts and snacks offered during this time.


  • Sunday school: Every Sunday during the Sunday school time (9:45-10:45) there is children’s classes offered. During this time there is a lesson usually with a craft.
  • Wednesday night: On Wednesday nights at 5:45 we offer children’s church. We sing, do a lesson, make a craft, play games and much more. Come and join us to see what fun we are having!
  • Events: We offer different event during the year life, Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival, Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Play.
  • Camp: Auburn UMC supports our local Holston Conference camp – Camp Dickenson. Children from our church enjoy the out of doors and studying God’s word in a rustic setting along the New River. Camps vary in age levels and topics. Camp Dickenson has much more to offer than just summer camps for children. Here is a link to Camp Dickenson programs and events.


  • Monthly: The Youth of Auburn UMC are an active, playful, and Christ-centered bunch striving to be the Church today. Youth in grades 6-12 are encouraged to meet with leaders monthly. Activities include a fellowship meal, fun activities and a Christ-centered activity or mission activity.
  • Help with Service: Youth members plan activities that demonstrate their commitment to Christ such as music programs, Youth Sunday, act as greeters and ushers and assist with child-care needs during special programs
  • The youth plan an annual trip to Resurrection to meet with other youth members from all over the Holston Conference and celebrate with music and fellowship. As well as other events and fund raisers durning the year.
